The Employment Legal Counsel will act as the in-house counsel for all company’s employment-related legal matters. This role primarily focuses on managing the daily legal and regulatory employment issues for the company and its subsidiaries.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate employment contracts, contractor agreements, termination documents, and HR policies in compliance with applicable labor laws and regulations.
- Provide ongoing legal support and advice to the HR department, ensuring alignment with employment law across various jurisdictions.
- Collaborate closely with multiple departments to ensure employment practices adhere to legal standards.
- Manage compliance procedures related to employment law, data privacy (GDPR and CCPA), and regulatory requirements.
- Lead in-house projects related to employment law and labor regulations.
- Address other legal tasks as needed, with a focus on employment law and compliance.
Requirements
Requirements:
- 3+ years of relevant post-internship experience as an employment counsel, preferably in the legal department of a global company or at a major law firm (advising high-tech or international companies).
- Expertise in labor law, employee relations, and contractor agreements, with experience in tech-related commercial agreements.
- Strong analytical, business, negotiation, and communication skills with the ability to simplify complex legal matters for non-legal stakeholders.
- Additional legal experience in data protection and commercials is an advantage.
- English proficiency at a mother-tongue level, particularly in legal drafting and communication.
- LLB degree with Bar credentials in Israel.
