About the role:
As a Quantum Application Engineer, you’ll work closely with our enterprise customers in the Americas to help them design, build, and scale real-world quantum applications. You’ll guide onboarding, lead collaborative projects, and serve as the technical voice of the customer inside Classiq. You’ll work at the intersection of quantum research, applied engineering, and customer impact, helping some of the world’s leading companies explore and adopt quantum computing.
Responsibilities
- Act as a technical champion within key customer accounts
- Lead customer onboarding and training for developers and researchers with varying quantum knowledge
- Provide hands-on technical support
- Design and co-execute projects that take real world applications and solve them with quantum algorithms
- Proactively identify new technical opportunities within customer conversations
- Capture customer feedback and translate it into actionable insights for Product
- Build reusable tools, insights, and methodologies that help scale successful solutions across customers
Requirements
- PhD in physics, computer science, or a related field to quantum information science
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in quantum algorithm design, research, or software development
- Experience leading technical sessions with R&D and engineering teams
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical topics clearly
- Strong proficiency in Python and quantum SDKs (e.g., Qmod, Qiskit, PennyLane, Cirq, Tket)
- Fast learner of state-of-the-art quantum algorithms
