Role Description:
The Partnership Manager, APAC is a pivotal role responsible for developing, managing, and scaling strategic partnerships
across the Asia-Pacific region. Based in our Tokyo office, this individual will be the primary driver of channel revenue,
market penetration, and ecosystem development throughout APAC. This role requires a unique blend of strategic thinking,
cultural fluency, strong execution skills, and the ability to operate effectively within a dual-reporting structure.
As the Partnership Manager, you will play a pivotal role in developing scalable and sustainable revenue for Classiq across
the region. You will work closely with local enterprises, consultancies, system integrators, cloud providers, and academic
institutions, while also collaborating internally with cross-functional teams—particularly our technical and product groups.
This position reports directly to the Managing Director, APAC, with a dotted-line reporting relationship to the VP of
Partnerships in Tel Aviv.
Responsibilities
1. Partnership Strategy & Execution (APAC Focus)
- Identify and Recruit: Proactively identify, recruit, and onboard new strategic partners (e.g., system integrators, resellers, technology providers, consulting firms) in key APAC markets (e.g., Japan, Korea, Australia, Singapore, etc.).
- Develop Joint Plans: Create and execute annual and quarterly joint business plans (JBPs) with top-tier partners, including defined revenue targets, marketing initiatives, and enablement goals.
- Pipeline Generation: Work closely with the APAC Sales and Marketing teams to drive partner-sourced and partner-influenced pipeline and revenue, managing the opportunity lifecycle from lead to close.
- Performance Management: Regularly track, analyze, and report on partner performance against agreed-upon KPIs, ensuring continuous optimization of the partner ecosystem.
2. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Global Alignment
- APAC Leadership: Report to the Managing Director, APAC on regional performance, market trends, and partner health, aligning partnership strategy with overall APAC business objectives.
- Global Partnership Team: Collaborate closely with the VP of Partnership in Israel to ensure global consistency in partner programs, policies, and systems (e.g., PRM), providing critical APAC market intelligence.
- Enablement: Work with Product, Sales Engineering, and Partnership Operations teams to ensure APAC partners are fully trained, certified, and equipped with the necessary tools and resources.
3. Partner Relationship Management
- Relationship Building: Serve as the primary point of contact and relationship owner for senior stakeholders within strategic partner organizations.
- Deal Flow: Facilitate joint sales activities, including QBRs (Quarterly Business Reviews), executive briefings, and sales team alignment meetings.
- Conflict Resolution: Act as an escalation point to resolve channel conflict and ensure a positive, productive, and mutually beneficial partner experience.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Experience: 7+ years of experience in channel management, business development, or strategic partnerships, preferably within the APAC region.
- Location: Must be based in Tokyo, Japan, with full working rights.
- Language: Native or fluent proficiency in Japanese and English is required to manage the Japanese and APAC market and coordinate with global HQ.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the technology landscape (e.g., SaaS, Cloud, Cybersecurity, Enterprise Software) and how channel partners drive business value.
- Skills: Proven ability to build complex business cases, negotiate agreements, and manage relationships with senior executive levels.
- (Highly-Desired) Experience working in a global matrix organization with dual reporting lines (HQ/Regional).
- (Highly-Desired) Additional proficiency in another key APAC language (e.g., Korean, Mandarin).
- (Highly-Desired) A Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
