Scope:
We are looking for an experienced system engineer to participate and lead the development of a radio-based drone detection and mitigation system as part of the company products.
This role requires a combination of technical expertise, hands-on experience, and strong teamwork and leadership abilities to develop and manage complex systems for drone protection.
The system engineer position requires the combination of several elements and key responsibilities:
- Take a concept and lead it through all stages of development, from design to implementation, testing, and final release. Understanding of product lifecycle management, release management, and version control systems.
- Development of Sensor Solutions: Participate in the development of both single-sensor and multiple-sensor solutions aimed at protecting against advanced drone threats.
- System Level Design: Define system-level designs for complex systems.
- Guiding Multi-Discipline Teams: Define and guide software (SW) and testing teams for implementing and debugging multi-discipline solutions.
- System Behavior Analysis: Define and analyze system behaviors, decision-making processes, and system responses to events.
- Independent Debugging and Optimization: Perform independent debugging and problem-solving for system issues, using tools like Excel, Python, and MATLAB.
- Testing and Validation Support: Guide and support testing and validation teams for testing methodologies, tools, and identifying conceptual coverage holes.
- Feature and Platform Development: Bring features and platforms from conceptualization through to release.
Requirements:
- B.Sc. /M.Sc./Ph.D. from a known university in EE or CS.
- At least 5 years of design, development, architecture or system experience with multi-sensor systems, military multi-site systems, system of systems or other complex distributed systems.
- Hands-On Software Development Skills: Proficiency in languages such as Python, C++, or Java. Experience with real-time systems, embedded software, and multi-threaded applications.
- Strong background in system architecture and design, including the ability to work with hardware and software to define functional requirements.
- Hands-On System Integration: Experience in integrating software with hardware.
- Problem-Solving & Debugging: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for diagnosing complex system issues.
- Data Analysis: Advanced skills in using tools like MATLAB, Python and Excel for system performance analysis, data processing, and algorithm development.
- Sensor Technologies: Knowledge of sensor systems (e.g., radar, RF sensors) and their integration into larger systems.
- Modeling & Simulation: Familiarity with modeling and simulation tools for system-level analysis and testing.
- System Optimization: A deep understanding of system optimization, including performance tuning and resource management.
- Team player, Leadership and excellent communication skills. Ability to lead tasks within the company and the desire to take on diverse challenges and to coordinate between cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, software developers, and testing teams. Experience with Agile or similar methodologies would be beneficial.
