Description

Datarails is a leading platform for the Office of the CFO that streamlines data consolidation, month-end close, reporting, and planning processes. It allows finance teams to continue using their familiar Excel spreadsheets and financial models while automating data integration from many software types, ERPs, and CRMs.

With Datarails, you can reduce risk, make informed decisions, and ensure stakeholders have access to the most reliable data at their fingertips.

We are looking for a dynamic and resourceful Presales Center of Excellence (COE) Consultant to join the growing team. The Presales COE Consultant will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering tailored Proof of Concepts (POC’s) for the Presales teams. This role will play a key part in bringing our product’s value to life for prospects, building compelling use cases, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure POCs deliver best practices and innovative applications of our product functionality.

The ideal candidate will bring strong financial expertise, a deep understanding of our product, and the ability to clearly articulate how our solution meets the needs of diverse industries.

What You'll Do

Gather and Analyze Requirements:

  • Engage with stakeholders (Sales, Solution Consultants, and clients) to understand the specific business use cases and technical requirements for each POC.
  • Translate client needs and challenges into clearly defined objectives and success criteria for the POC.
  • Perform in-depth research on current financial planning and analysis (FP&A) and modeling methodologies relevant to client verticals.

Design and Build POCs Using Datarails Best Practices:

  • Leverage Datarails system functionalities to architect scalable, flexible, and efficient POC models.
  • Apply internal best practices in data integration, modeling, automation, and visualization to maximize impact.
  • Ensure each POC is tailored to reflect the specific needs of the prospective client while showcasing the system’s strengths.

Collaborate with Solution Consultants (SCs):

  • Partner closely with SCs to align on client expectations, timelines, and desired outcomes.
  • Support SCs during client presentations by explaining POC logic, assumptions, and key features.
  • Iterate on the POC based on SC feedback or evolving client inputs to ensure alignment with business goals.

Document and Maintain POC Artifacts:

  • Create comprehensive documentation outlining the structure, logic, and assumptions used in each POC.
  • Maintain version history and records of all delivered POCs for internal knowledge sharing and future reference.
  • Build and update internal templates and reusable components for more efficient POC development.

Drive Internal Learning and Optimization:

  • Share insights and lessons learned from POC engagements to inform future projects and team strategy.
  • Continuously improve internal POC development processes through feedback loops and team retrospectives.

Requirements

  • Experience and Technical Proficiency: Previous experience working with Datarails or similar FP&A software solutions. Candidates should have a strong understanding of FP&A concepts and P&L, balance sheet and cash flow modeling principles.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work cross-functionally with Sales, Presales, Product, and Marketing teams.
  • Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly understand customer needs and translate them into demo solutions.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to articulate complex technical concepts in a clear and engaging manner.

What We Offer
