At Firefly, we’re looking for a Solutions Engineer who will join our global sales team and who’s as excited about helping customers as they are about building solutions. You’ll be the technical voice of the customer, working closely with Sales, Product, and Engineering to ensure a smooth journey — from the first technical demo to successful production deployment and beyond.
This role is focused on pre-sales solutions engineering while supporting post-sales implementation, perfect for someone with a DevOps or cloud engineering background, a startup mindset, and a drive to make things happen.
Responsibilities:
At Firefly, we’re looking for a Solutions Engineer who will join our global sales team and who’s as excited about helping customers as they are about building solutions. You’ll be the technical voice of the customer, working closely with Sales, Product, and Engineering to ensure a smooth journey — from the first technical demo to successful production deployment and beyond.
This role is focused on pre-sales solutions engineering while supporting post-sales implementation, perfect for someone with a DevOps or cloud engineering background, a startup mindset, and a drive to make things happen.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with Account Executives to understand customer needs and deliver tailored product demos and technical deep dives.
- Lead proof-of-concepts (POCs) and help prospects evaluate technical fit.
- Own technical onboarding, helping customers integrate, deploy, and configure our product in real-world environments.
- Act as a trusted advisor to customers — solving problems, offering best practices, and ensuring long-term value.
- Gather customer feedback and collaborate with Product and Engineering to influence roadmap and improve the product.
- Build internal tools, scripts, and documentation to improve the customer engineering playbook.
- At least 3-5 years in a Pre-Sales Solutions Engineering role.
- DevOps, Cloud Engineer, or similar background experience (B2B startup experience is an advantage).
- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure), CI/CD pipelines, and modern DevOps tools.
- Strong understanding of Infrastructure-as-Code / FinOps / Governance.
- Experience working with APIs, containers (Docker/Kubernetes), scripting (Python, Bash, etc) and automations.
- Comfortable running customer-facing calls and explaining complex concepts simply.
- A self-starter, hungry to take ownership, resourceful, and customer-obsessed.
- Excellent communication skills – both technical and business-level.
