As a Data Engineer at Nagish, you will design, build, and maintain our data infrastructure to empower insights that make communication accessible for Deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals. You will work closely with various teams to ensure data flows seamlessly from our systems to actionable insights.

On a day-to-day, you will:

• Collaborate with engineering, marketing, growth, support, and executive teams to understand data requirements and deliver analytics solutions.
• Build and maintain robust ELT pipelines using tools like Fivetran, BigQuery, and dbt.
• Integrate data from diverse sources (e.g., PostgreSQL, external APIs) into our data warehouse.
• Optimize data pipelines for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Work on real-time and batch data processing to support both operational and analytical use cases.
• Provide clean, well-documented datasets for dashboards, reports, and machine learning models.
• Take ownership of our cloud-based data infrastructure, ensuring it scales with our needs.

• 6+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, a Data Science Engineer, or in a similar role.
• Expertise in building and maintaining ELT/ETL pipelines.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with dbt or similar transformation tools.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g., GCP, AWS).
• Familiarity with BI tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau).
• Experience deploying and maintaining data pipelines, and knowledge of real-time data processing framework - An advantage
• An excellent communicator who can explain things clearly, share information openly, and collaborate to ensure everything stays aligned.
