We are seeking a Head of Medical Research - a pivotal leadership role at Navina. We’re looking for someone with both execution power and strategic vision: an individual who can drive complex, long-term research initiatives while fostering trust and collaboration across diverse teams. Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor the Medical Research Managers team, ensuring both professional excellence and personal growth through project guidance and career development planning.
- Co-lead the company’s Research group together with the Head of AI and MLE Group Lead, driving both strategic and tactical planning for annual, semi-annual, and quarterly roadmaps.
- Shape long-term research strategy by identifying and prioritizing projects that leverage cutting-edge technologies and align with the company’s future goals.
- Partner closely with Product and Engineering teams to ensure alignment between research initiatives, development needs, and integration into existing product lines.
- Collaborate with clients through site visits and field research to understand physician and clinic needs, and translate insights into research directions and product innovation.
- Work cross-functionally with Customer Support to identify, analyze, and resolve issues raised by clients, driving continuous product improvement.
- Oversee continuous validation of models in production to ensure clinical quality and reliability remain at the highest standards.
- Represent the research and clinical perspective in executive discussions, bridging business goals with clinical and technical capabilities.
Requirements
- Medical Doctor (MD) degree.
- Proven leadership experience managing large teams.
- Strong research background (e.g., advanced degree in Epidemiology, PhD, or equivalent demonstrated research expertise).
- Excellent analytical skills with hands-on experience in data analysis (SQL, Python, or R).
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills in English.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, with a demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives.
- Strategic thinker with proven track record in long-term planning and execution.
