We are seeking a hands-on Director of Finance to lead all financial, accounting, and operational finance activities and partner closely with the executive team.
This is a key leadership position responsible for financial planning, reporting, budgeting, cash management, compliance, and day-to-day accounting operations. The role includes deep involvement in multi-disciplinary operations such as production, sales support, HR, legal, procurement, and investor relations.
You will collaborate across departments and work closely with the executive team to ensure strong financial governance as the company scales.
Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Reporting
- Lead annual and multi-year budgeting, forecasting, and monthly BVA analyses.
- Build financial models supporting strategic decisions, pricing, and production planning.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and investors.
- Oversee cash-flow management, burn rate, and runway monitoring.
Accounting Operations & Compliance
- Manage month-end close, payroll review, expense classification, and inventory and cost accounting.
- Oversee financial records, internal controls, and audit processes.
- Ensure accurate tax reporting and interaction with external accountants and advisors.
Operational & Cross-Functional Partnership
- Support production, operations, and sales with costing, pricing, insurance, and contract reviews.
- Review supplier agreements, NDAs, and commercial terms with legal counsel.
- Manage cap table updates, option grants, and investor reporting.
- Support HR in employee onboarding/offboarding and compensation reviews.
Treasury & Payments
- Manage banking relationships, currency transactions, deposits, and loan-related matters.
- Approve bi-weekly payments, review invoices, and maintain treasury controls.
Systems & Process Improvement
- Oversee financial tools, SaaS subscriptions, and process automation.
- Improve data accuracy, efficiency, and financial visibility across the company.
Requirements
- CPA qualification with a degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in senior finance roles within Israeli high-tech (mix of Controller and FP&A responsibilities preferred).
- Strong understanding of HW+SW cost structures, inventory processes, and production environments.
- Experience managing audits, budgeting, forecasting, and cross-functional financial operations.
- High proficiency in financial modeling and analysis.
- Excellent communication skills in Hebrew and English.
- Hands-on, detail-oriented, independent, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced startup environment.
