The Job

Own is seeking a talented and experienced Manager of Product Security Implementation to lead our product security implementation for the EMEA region to lead initiatives and drive the development of robust repeatable secure software solutions. Reporting to the Senior Director, Product Security Architecture, you will be responsible for designing and implementing a comprehensive security architecture that can be packaged and reused as the building blocks to protect our systems, data, and infrastructure from emerging threats. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact and play a key role in shaping the future of product security at Own.

Your Day-to-Day Role

  • Lead the design and implementation of a comprehensive product security architecture for the EMEA region, focusing on preventative security measures and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Develop and engineer security processes, including the Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC), to integrate security seamlessly into our development workflows.
  • Own vulnerability management for the EMEA region, including identifying, prioritizing, and remediating security vulnerabilities across our systems and applications.
  • Coordinate and oversee penetration testing, security assessments, and threat modeling activities to identify and address security risks proactively.
  • Lead Privacy Impact Assessments (PIA) and Security Impact Assessments (SIA) to assess the impact of new projects, features, and systems on privacy and security.
  • Implement robust change management processes to ensure that security controls are effectively maintained and updated over time.
  • Drive evidence gathering and documentation efforts to support internal audits, regulatory compliance, and customer security assessments.
  • Build and maintain secure code libraries and platforms for build efficiency.
  • Collaborate with customers and partners in the EMEA region to address security requirements and concerns, providing guidance and assurance as needed.

Your Work Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • CISSP, CISM, or other relevant certifications preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in information security, with a focus on product security, process development, and coding/engineering.
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing secure products and processes in a global, multi-cultural environment.
  • Deep understanding of secure software development principles, including secure coding practices and common vulnerabilities (OWASP Top 10).
  • Experience with vulnerability management, penetration testing, and security assessment methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge of privacy and security regulations, including GDPR, HIPAA, and CCPA.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders across different regions and functions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate and mitigate security risks effectively.

Important Details

This is a full-time position. The ideal candidate will work out of our London office a minimum of 3 days a week to maximise collaboration and interaction with business. Travel may be required.
