Description

We seek a talented, high-performing / high-energy Account Executive to formulate and execute a sales strategy that results in revenue growth and new Customer acquisition. Collaborating with the Sales Development Representative and Solutions Architect teams, you will prepare account strategies and plans and constantly initiate new contacts through phone outreach, social networking, and email campaigns to increase our customer base.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Consistently identify, prospect, qualify and develop your sales pipeline through outreach strategies and by collaborating with your SDR team.
  • Build and nurture effective relationships as you guide prospects through a software acquisition cycle, from discovery through Proof-of-Concept and then contract negotiation and close, working with multiple stakeholders.
  • Create proposals that address customer needs that inspire them to become ScyllaDB Enterprise and ScyllaDB Cloud customers.
  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date forecast and funnel as you exceed your monthly, quarterly and annual quota.
  • Hunter mentality and knows how to open new doors via phone calls and emails etc
  • Collaborate with Marketing to conduct seminars, trade shows, and other marketing-related events.
  • Communicate and collaborate with your VP of Sales, and Customer Success teams to ensure adoption, retention, and expansion of ScyllaDB in your growing portfolio of highly visible clients

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience selling B2B enterprise technology. We are looking for a "hungry" up-and-comer eager to grow within a high-growth, Series C startup.
  • Ideally possesses experience selling to IT departments with a solid understanding of Infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of Open Source and Database technology is a significant plus.
  • Holds an established "rolodex" of IT, Enterprise Architecture, and Business contacts within their current geographic territory (patch).
  • Goal-oriented with a proven history of overachievement (e.g., President’s Club, Rep of the Quarter/Year).
  • Driven and possessing a strong desire to learn and contribute as a key player in a fast-paced environment.
  • Open to feedback and coaching with a high level of personal accountability.
  • Excellent communication skills and an attention to detail necessary to build compelling ROI models and value propositions.
  • Highly intelligent with the ability to learn quickly, establish technical credibility, and creatively apply ScyllaDB solutions to a wide range of customer use cases.
  • A true team player who understands that collaboration is vital to collective success.
  • Not afraid to "knock down doors"; understands that consistent pipeline generation is the foundation of overachievement.
