The Role
We are seeking a full-time, on-site Operations Support Specialist for our Indiana headquarters to serve as the office's operational backbone. This role provides administrative support for Flight Operations and daily Tier 1 IT needs, as well as direct support throughout the employee lifecycle—handling onboarding and offboarding.
The Goal of This Role
- Ensure seamless daily office operations and high-touch internal support.
- Provide exceptional, human-centered IT and Tier 1 support for all employees across onboarding, daily work, and offboarding.
- Efficiently resolve inbound support tickets and escalate complex technical issues with accurate documentation.
- Adapt flexibly to shifting tasks and priorities in a dynamic, fast-moving environment.
- Work close to our tech support team in Israel with more complex issues.
Responsibilities
- People & Lifecycle Support: Serve as the primary, empathetic point of contact for employees. Manage hardware setup, account creation, and technical readiness for new hire onboarding. Assist team members with daily IT issues, and coordinate system offboarding and equipment retrieval for departing staff.
- IT Support: Configure, image, and set up workstations and laptops. Manage system access and permissions following company guidelines. Provide first-line troubleshooting for office hardware, software, connectivity, and peripherals.
- Tier 1 Support: Handle inbound Tier 1 support tickets, resolving routine issues directly. Maintain internal knowledge base articles and support documentation.
- Flight Operations Support: Provide routine operational and administrative support to Flight Operations Managers, including equipment check-in/out tracking and document preparation.
- Adaptability: Transition smoothly between technical troubleshooting, administrative support, and office coordination as operational demands evolve.
- Help to maintain our systems using AI tools for feature improvements and bug fixing.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience in IT support, operations support, customer service, or a closely related role.
- Proficient with standard business tools, comfortable troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and possesses an AI-oriented mindset.
- Strong organizational skills and reliable follow-through on both routine tasks and unexpected requests.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills paired with high emotional intelligence, with the ability to interact warmly, patiently, and professionally with employees at all levels.
- Strong personal drive to succeed, proactive problem-solving attitude, and high accountability.
- Comfortable wearing multiple hats, navigating ambiguity, and reprioritizing tasks quickly in a fast-changing atmosphere.
- Availability to work Saturdays during high season.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ticketing systems (JIRA or similar), IT administrative tools.
- Exposure to agriculture, commercial UAS/drones, or field operations environments.
- FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
- Familiar with AI tools like Claude & Gemini
