- Full-time
Description
At Trigo, we’re building the world’s leading autonomous store platform, where cutting-edge computer vision meets everyday retail. But even the smartest system depends on the reliability of the hardware that powers it.
As our Hardware Reliability & Performance Lead, you’ll make sure that every sensor performs at its best, not just by tracking data, but by being on the ground where it happens. You’ll go into stores, find and fix issues, install and test components, and turn hands-on learning into lasting system improvements. You’ll be responsible for managing our inventory and logistics, ensuring the hardware you need is in the right place at the right time.
This role blends practical problem-solving with analytical insight - part engineer, part investigator, part process improver, and part supply chain manager.
Why Join Us
You’ll be part of the team that ensures our cutting-edge technology works seamlessly in the real world, making autonomous retail truly dependable. You’ll get to build systems, processes, and relationships that directly shape the reliability of Trigo’s technology at scale!

- Comfortable diagnosing and fixing physical hardware in the field (basic tools, testing setups, and safe repair methods).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a hands-on approach to operational challenges.
- Experience coordinating across engineering, operations, and suppliers.
- Comfortable interpreting technical data and turning insights into action.
- Organized and methodical, able to manage multiple streams of information and stakeholders.

- Visit stores weekly to test, diagnose, and repair hardware issues: from sensors and dividers to connectivity and mounting.
- Support small-scale design or process improvements to enhance reliability and maintenance efficiency.
- Structure and lead the feedback process for hardware failures, transforming field reports into actionable R&D insights.
- Own hardware performance metrics (MTBF, MTTR, cost, recurring issue rate) and develop dashboards to track improvement.
- Manage inventory and coordinate logistics from factory to warehouse to store, ensuring the right parts are in the right place at the right time.
- Manage vendor performance for standard components, tracking reliability and coordinating returns or replacements.
- Collaborate with the Supply Chain team, who manage manufacturing vendors and the Finance team, who manage parts of the procurement process.
