We’re looking for a result-driven Business Development Representative to join anecdotes’ Marketing team.

As a Business Development Rep you’ll play a major role in driving the growth of our customer base by generating leads and creating opportunities for the sales team.

About Us:

anecdotes is a B-round startup founded in June 2020 that is leading the Compliance Automation space for hyper growth companies. We believe that credible, visible, and actionable data should be the foundation of every GRC (governance, risk, and compliance) team’s decision-making process. That is why we help enterprises collect and standardize data from hundreds of SaaS tools, cloud infrastructures, private networks, databases, and more, to gain continuous visibility into their Security Compliance posture.

What You'll Do:

  • Research, prospect and qualify potential customers, within assigned US/Canada territory
  • Book discovery meetings for Account Executives that convert into pipeline opportunities
  • Leverage sales and lead generation tools (Gong Engage, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, etc) to identify prospects and activate them in multi-touch inbound & outbound sequences
  • Build pipeline by initiating conversation and building relationships with potential customers using various methods such as cold calling, personalized/research-backed emails, LinkedIn messages, and events.
  • Collaborate with marketing on monthly campaigns and inbound/outbound initiatives
  • Pair up with an Account Executive to outbound prospect into key target accounts in your territory

Who You Are:

  • Based in the US or Canada and able work “standard” business hours
  • Process and detail-oriented; able to thrive in an intense and high-volume business; strong time management skills
  • Self-disciplined and focused to effectively manage daily workloads in a remote environment with team members across different time zones
  • The ability to work with cross-functional teams including marketing and sales is essential
  • Can-do attitude, highly organized, and strong work ethic; excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Your Background:

  • Experience with CRM and Sales Engagement platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Gong Engage, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Chili Piper, Warmly, etc)
  • Previous experience as SDR/BDR in a SaaS startup environment, preferably in a cybersecurity company
  • Familiarity with enterprise sales process, personas and sales motion; proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets
  • Experience in the security & compliance domain; ideally with awareness of GRC compliance
  • Familiarity with Cloud services, Application Development lifecycle, Cloud Security
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
