About this role
As a Sales Engineer at Blink Ops, you will engage directly with prospective customers, demonstrating Blink’s automation platform, handling technical objections, and highlighting the value of our solutions. You’ll play a crucial role in the sales process, from discovery and solution design to demos and Proofs of Concept (POCs), ensuring customers fully realize the potential of automation in their security operations.
Your responsibilities
What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with prospective customer security teams to understand their challenges and show how Blink’s platform can help automate all aspects of their security programs.
- Lead product demos and POCs tailored to customer needs, showcasing Blink’s integration capabilities with existing and new platforms.
- Use your expertise to address objections from seasoned professionals, demonstrating how Blink enhances their current tools.
- Customize and adapt Blink Ops to integrate with customers’ existing environments, using APIs and scripting to solve specific challenges.
- Collaborate with Blink’s sales, product, and engineering teams to ensure solutions align with product capabilities and customer expectations.
- Use your background to build trust with customers, engaging in technical and strategic discussions that position Blink as a trusted partner.
Requirements
- Self-motivated with “whatever it takes” attitude and demonstrable experience to drive and influence decision making among prospects and customers
- 3-5+ years in a Sales Engineering or customer-facing role, with varied knowledge of security tools and platforms.
- Proficiency in one or more scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) and a clear understanding of how scripting can support automation tasks.
- Knowledge of logging systems (e.g., Splunk) and the ability to analyze and interpret log data.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, threat intelligence, incident response, and automation tools.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to translate technical details into business value for a variety of audiences.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and juggle multiple customer engagements.
Bonus Points for:
- Familiarity with cloud security concepts (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Knowledge, experience, and/or understanding of JSON & YAML structure and use
- Previous experience in an early to growth-stage startup
